Aroma: My personal favorite of all peppermints! Minty fresh, but not too sweet, it’s crisp and bright but with depth.

Safety: Non toxic, non irritating, possibly sensitizing.
Cautions: Due to high menthol content in peppermint oil, it should not be used directly near infants and young children faces. Mostly due to intensity of aroma, more than direct risk. The cooling and sometimes warming feeling on skin, may be uncomfortable to some. Tisserand & Young suggest avoiding use for people with cardiac fibrillation, and those with G6PD deficiency. Wash hands after use to avoid contact with sensitive areas.

Mental / Emotional: Inhalation of peppermint is most used for improving mental focus, confusion, alertness. Musculoskeletal: Menthol found in peppermint is widely used as an analgesic for pain, when used skillfully and often blended with other oils targeted your unique symptoms it can be quite helpful. Digestive: Often used for nausea, studies show mixed results, depending on the reason for the nausea. For morning sickness there was less affect, but for chemotherapy induced nausea significant reduction was found.
